Better than official Twitter App, but it has problems with TweetMarker. Needs some improvements, and support for new features from Twitter like multiple images.

Running Mac OSX 10.6.8 on my MBP and it just does not work. Hangs on authorizing.. doesnt do anything but tells me its in the process of authorizing... nothing... My credentials are correct. I see in my twitter account (via webpage) that the app is authorized. This is seriously broken. It says above that the app works w/ 10.6 or later... or does it? Wish me luck with getting my money back.
Osfoora offers the option for muting usernames. This doesnt really make sense. If I wanted to mute someone I would just unfollow them. The only way I see this being an effective Muteing option is if you have the ability to choose a timeframe for the username to stay muted. Muting should take into effect keywords and twitter apps. For example any tweet that has the word "klout" I dont want to see it. Any tweet that was tweeted from 4square or Yelp I dont want to see it. Adding muting for keywords and apps is the KILLER feature this app is missing. Other than that it has become the defacto twitter client on my computer.
Bought this after skimming a couple reviews hoping for in-app list editing. Id like to see stuff such as adding/deleting people from the lists view, and right-clicking on users to modify their list memberships. Im following a lot of people, and Id like to start using lists to drill down to active interests: tech stuff at work, sports stuff when Im watching baseball, etc. Hate bouncing between apps and the web site for setup, though, especially with how clunky I find the web interface for non-basic tasks. I think the app looks nice and performs well, but its not much of an upgrade over the official and free Twitter client for my list-driven interests.
This has been my favorite Twitter client for OS X so far. Im glad it supports Tweet Marker, but Im a bit confused about how it sets your location in the timeline. I seem to have to click on a tweet for it to mark it. I would also like Tweet Marker to be supported in lists. It would also be very handy to be able to add lists directly to the sidebar for easy switching. I wish it supported custom URL shorteners (which wouldnt be hard at all to implement).
Osfoora is back! A great (and crazy fast) alternative to the official app, and the new icon makes it stand out on the dock.
Improvement from the last update but now whenever you hit Messages it creates a weird glitch and you have to quit the app. Even after deleting and reinstalling it still happens. Not okay for users who use DM a lot.
After the last update, I was forced to re-authenticate both my twitter accounts. Theyll both load into the app, but I cant switch between them anymore. It just sticks me with the most recent account I added. Both appear in account pulldown menu but theyre grey and cannot be selected.
Scrolling back in time to see what happened will work, after a few restarts, but what is really annoying is when it auto refreshes. When it does this, it removes all the old history that you were looking at and scrolls you forward in time. Another thing that is annoying is that starting up the app and seeing a message that was tweeted 15 minutes ago and the next entriesshowing that they were tweeted 20 hours ago. If the app could let the stuff in between be shown, this would be a step in the right direction.
Edit: After last update I still cant use it. Timeline is still gone. What use do I have for all those great features, when the app is constantly misbehaving, timeline dissapears, window position & size resets, especially when you have multiple account. What could be a great app is undermined by the huge amount of interface bugs. Back to Twitter it is. At least till Teetboot releases their OSX version.
First it was the inability to refresh and see current tweets. Then they moved to a stream, which I think is great. The first update with the current icon, my windows disappeared and couldnt be recovered. Now, with the current update, things are smoother. The speed and responsiveness feels good. However, the mentions column in one of my accounts is just blank. Nothing there. I really had my heart set on replacing Echofon (which is feature-complete but kinda ugly) with this app and its just not there. I dont think there should be so many issues with software that I pay even $5 for.
Osfoora looks great but the developer needs to get back to basics before this app is ready for serious use. Even after a several of the previous versions more horrendous bugs have been squashed (the list under "Whats New in Version 1.2.1" speaks for itself), Osfoors still omits random tweets from my feed. Hard to believe such a basic function doesnt work as expected.
There are some issues with the Retina display. App works pretty good, but I have emailed the developer twice about support for Retina and a possible timeline. It has been over a week without a peep from them.
I have always liked this app but with the new update I cant seem to authorise my Twitter account. Please fix!!
I love this app. It is so speedy. There is just one thing that is missing though: and there is no ⌘ + up arrow to snap to the top of the stream. I think the only app that rivals Osfoora on the Mac is Tweetbot.
It seems like a promising application, but there are too many display problems on the retina MacBook Pro, basically rendering it unusable.
Can anyone tell me how to deleted DMs on this app with a Mac? I can do it with my iPad and iPhone, but not on the Mac. . . .???
This is a very good twitter client with lots of power features like mute, tweet marker and it pays attention to detail. One thing lacking is continual support. There hasnt been an update since June and there are things that need to be addressed (lack of a retweet button, ability to mute hashtags for example). I hope an update comes soon. I have tried to contact the developer on twitter multiple times with no response. All in all this is a really good twitter client and I strongly recommend it.
I own Osfoora for both iPhone and iPad and I bought the Mac version thinking it was going to be the same experience, but I cant even make it to launch as it crashes before even opening. Dont waste your money, I have contacted the developer to see if they could fix it, but have gotten no answer. DO NOT BUY THIS APP - SAVE YOUR MONEY
All I could really do is post a new tweet with CMD-N and CMD-Enter. Prefs are accessible, sort of. The UI otherwise is poorly laid out and unlabeled controls galore. Im a bit sad as Ive heard good things about this ap. Ah well. Back to NightOwl for me. Do NOT buy if you use VoiceOver to access OS10.
