Osfoora for Twitter App Reviews

Very buggy. Dev does not update app!!

App is buggy. Dev seemed to have abandoned the app. Dont waste your money!! You wont get a update.

Beautiful, reminds me of Twitter for Mac

With the new Osfoora, the look has been updated to look amazing. I love how it looks like Twitter for Mac, except it works. I really like having a light design--I prefer it over Tweetbot. Really pleased with the app, notification center support is awesome and the only feature I would like is Safari Reading List support.

Left nav bar now HUGE!

New version has made it so I cant reduce the size of the left nav bar anymore and it has HUGE icons with wasted space making less room for the actual tweets (you know, the important thing you actual want to look at instead of BIG HUGE ICONS)

Great update, but please bring back the small sidebar

The update is great on my Retina MacBook Pro and everything works just as well as before. But please bring back the slim navigation bar. The new one takes way too much space.

Excellent, especially for the price

I really enjoy this Twitter client. Compared to most of the competition, it is feature-filled and reasonably priced. I do wish it had all the features of Tweetbot, which I like more, but Osfoora is 25% of the price. Some features missing as of this review: •Easy to see conversations •Delayed Tweets (not that I really need this) •More specified seraches like User vs Tweets containing •Slightly faster TweetMarker support

good twitter app but needs built in translate function

I love osfoora, but in comparison with apps like Janeeter and tweetbot, it is missing the translate button which i use because I follow tweets from foreign news outlets

Very Nice!!!!

Please keep supporting this app. I searched high and low for a good twitter app that was reasonably priced. Tweetbot is a good app but just not worth $19.99. This app does everything I need for my mac and allows me to sync with my iPhone and iPad via Tweetmarker. I love the conversation logo to quickly view them. Overall its hard to find faults. I do wish for Twitlonger and location support for tweets. I never used the older versions with the narrow side panel but I do think the current one is large so I will go along with others here asking for it to be shrunk again. Thanks for a great app and again, please keep supporting. Im done with my search as long as it keeps improving.

Retina Display Support!

Wow. I almost spent $20 on the Tweetbot because the client released by Twitter made my eyes bleed since its not Retina optimized. Osfoora is a great deal for such a smooth gorgeous app. Osfoora, thank you!

Bugs remain

Suddenly, when looking at my mentions, all the conversation balloon icons are missing, so if someone says something to me, I have no idea what theyre talking about. This app needs work, skip it.

Glitchy UI

Im on Snow Leopard. The apps title bar will occasionally be covered over, in varying spots, by a black rectangle which goes away if I switch from and back to the app. Also, when composing a tweet, the red spellcheck underlines are WAY misaligned from the text theyre supposed to be under. I want to like this app, but the apparent glitchiness has kept me from using it as my default twitter app.

Great desktop client.

Osfoora is quite a step above the native Twitter for Mac. This app fulfills many of my preferences in a Twitter client. I use Tweetbot on the iPhone and iPad, but because I am much more of a consumer than creator on Twitter, Osfoora met my price range and features. A few things that I hope the developer will work on for the future: -more reliable Tweetmarker support. Id say it works 60% of the time when syncing across Tweetbot on iOS and Osfoora on the desktop. -the ability to view replies to an individual tweet. As of now, Osfoora supports viewing a conversation between two people you are following, but it would be very nice to be able to view all replies to an individual tweet. This is helpful when someone with a decent amount of followers posts questions (such as tips/tricks, app recommendations, etc.) and many people reply. Overall, Osfoora is a great desktop client with the basic features youd expect in a Twitter client at a great price. Thank you to the developer for your hard work!

No bitly support :(

No bitly support is a dealbreaker.

Love it!

Love it! Wish it could be smaller, but great work!

Good stuff.

Ive been using Osfoora for a very long time now, and Ive grown quite fond of it. It has its share of bugs, but Ive learned to live with them, and they do not detract significantly from my enjoyment of using the app. Is it super powerful? No, but I dont think its meant to be — and thats why I love it.

Pretty Great Twitter App

I had used the official Twitter app for a while, but one thing that bothered me was it didnt have the option to mute users. After researching the various options that would allow me to mute users, I settled with Osfoora. I do not regret it at all. Not only does the app function fantastically, but it also looks pretty nice. I really only have one problem with the app and that would be the fact there is no way to scroll to the top of the timeline. In the official app I could use CMD+Up to jump to the top. As of yet I have not found an option like this in Osfoora. However I wont knock a star off for that as it is a very minor thing.

Verry good but still missing few things

I miss the option to hide the icon in the dock so I just use the one in the menu bar! edit- stopped working!

Did anyone notice?

Apparently, if youre on 10.6.8 this app wont even work for you, at all. Ill change my rating once Im actually able to use Osfoora.

Potentially great app, in need of fixes

I would give this app a 5, as it has all the features Im looking for, however I have some complaints: 1) As previous reviews have stated, it no longer works on 10.6.8. So if you have 10.6.8 DO NOT download this app, you will be wasting your money. 2) Thankfully i have another computer with 10.8 and it works on there. However… it doesnt seem to always refresh properly if you leave the app open for a long period of time (Ive never had this issue with other clients). 3) The preference setting is "Send on Command-Return" not just send on hitting the Return key ONLY. This is REALLY annoying/super inconvenient when writing tweets. I dont know why they didnt just give the option to just send on hitting Return only. 4) Theres no delete button, you have to ctrl/right-click to choose delete, and then when you do, it doesnt give you an "Are you sure you want to delete this tweet?" alert. Anyway, the app is okay, but because its paid only, with no way to sample it prior, and it seems the developer doesnt return emails, Im pretty disappointed. Im hoping that there will be more updates, since this last one was in May--not too long ago.

Better than ever & fixed for Snow Leopard!

I always liked this Twitter app for its elegance and features and solid value, even if it is not necessarrily best for power users. But now Im especially relieved the developer has fixed the app for Snow Leopard, which was broken with the previous version. Subtle design tweaks also enhance the overall excellent experience. Thanks!

Cool app but

why can’t we disable other peoples retweets? That’s pretty much the only thing I don’t particularly like about it. Otherwise, worth the money. Especially compared to Tweetbot and its ridiculous price.
